Welcome to BudgeHQ. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the BudgeHQ website and application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What BudgeHQ Does

BudgeHQ helps freelancers and small businesses draft professional follow-up messages for overdue invoices. The Service generates suggested email text based on the information you provide. BudgeHQ does not send emails on your behalf, does not contact your clients, and does not collect payments from your clients. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and sending any message you generate.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the full Service. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

3. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

BudgeHQ offers a free plan with a limited number of messages per month and a paid Solo plan billed monthly. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. By subscribing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy’s terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the “Manage billing” area inside the app, and your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to harass or threaten anyone, or to generate messages that are fraudulent, defamatory, or abusive. You are responsible for ensuring that the messages you send comply with all applicable laws, including debt collection and consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

5. AI-Generated Content

Messages are produced with the help of automated language models. While we aim for high-quality output, we cannot guarantee that generated content is accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your specific situation. Always review a message before using it. You own the messages you generate and are responsible for how you use them.

6. Disclaimer

BudgeHQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BudgeHQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
